The University will be celebrating its 800th anniversary in 2009. The 2009 Fund amounting to some £250,000 has been established to support University or College affiliated groups or student societies wishing to stage their own 800th anniversary related events. Applicants are reminded that the deadline for the second round of 2009 Fund applications is 30 April 2008.
There will be one further round of funding available with a deadline of 22 October 2008.
Applications for grants of typically up to £5,000 are welcome for activities that mark the Anniversary and promote or celebrate the academic and cultural pursuits of the University. Projects may involve collaboration with external partners but the application must be made by a University or College affiliated group. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit draft applications or speak to the 800th anniversary event staff about their ideas prior to the deadline.
