St John's College

LINACRE LECTURE

The College's annual Linacre Lecture will take place on Tuesday, 6 May 2008 at 5 p.m. in the Palmerston Room in the Fisher Building of St John's College, preceded by tea at 4.15 p.m. in the Fisher Building foyer.

Professor Herman Waldmann FRS, Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford, will give a lecture entitled Policing the immune system. Members of the University and others interested in hearing Professor Waldmann are warmly invited to attend. Further information can be found at http://www.joh.cam.ac.uk/. Parking will be available on the College's playing field, off Queens Road. The gates will remain open until 8.30 p.m.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

A Memorial Service for Professor Norman Montague Bleehen, C.B.E., M.A., B.M., B.Ch. (Oxford) (1930-2008), Fellow of St John's College since 1976 and Emeritus Cancer Research Campaign Professor of Clinical Oncology, will be held at the Synagogue, 3 Thompson's Lane, Cambridge on Sunday, 29 June 2008, at 3 p.m., followed by tea in the Master's Lodge at St John's College.
