Director of the Research Services Division

The University's Research Services Division is a key unit, with a remit to provide high-quality services to assist the University's staff in securing and managing research funding.

An outstanding Director is sought to lead the Division. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a successful record of leading a sizeable, complex, and high-profile service delivery operation and possess excellent management capabilities, alongside proven and well-developed interpersonal skills in order to interact with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders. The post holder reports to the Registrary and, on a functional basis, to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research.

The successful candidate will be educated to at least degree level, have an understanding of academic research, either through experience as a researcher or in research administration, and be familiar with national policies relating to research in the higher education sector.
