MEMORIAL CONCERT

A Concert of Words and Music in memory of Professor John Anthony Crook, M.A. (1921-2007), Fellow of St John's College and Emeritus Professor of Ancient History, will be held in the College Chapel on Saturday, 24 May 2008, at 2.30 p.m., followed by tea in the Hall. NADEN RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN DIVINITY

The Council of St John's College invites applications for a Research Associate in Divinity in the University of Cambridge. The Research Associate will be expected to carry out research on a topic approved by the College Council whilst residing within the University or at another place approved by the Council. The successful candidate is expected to be at Post Doctoral level or possess equivalent research experience though not necessarily in Divinity or Theology.

The tenure of the Research Associate, which should begin between 1 October 2008 and 1 January 2009, will be for one year in the first instance with the possibility of a renewal for a second year. The annual pensionable emolument will be £22,675. The successful candidate would become a member of College and be granted some dining privileges at the Fellows' Table. The Research Associate will make such reports on the scope and progress of the research as the Council shall require.
