Graces submitted to the Regent House on 19 March 2008

The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, other than any which is withdrawn or for which a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 109), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 28 March 2008.

1. That the regulation for membership of the General Medical Council be rescinded.1

2. That the regulation for the Cambridge University Hospitals and Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts, West Suffolk NHS Trust, and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust be amended as follows:2

By amending the first sentence so as to read:

These Trusts are established under the terms of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990, which has now been superseded by the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act 2003, and came into existence on or after 1 April 1993.

3. That the Council be authorized to approve certain amendments of the Rules of the Contributory Pension Scheme.3

4. That, on the recommendation of the General Board, the Strategic Committee for the Natural Sciences Tripos be disbanded and the regulations for the Committee of Management for the Natural Sciences Tripos be amended, with effect from 1 October 2008, as set out in the General Board's Notice (p. 605).
