Announcement of lectures, seminars, etc.

The following lectures, seminars, etc. will be open to members of the University and others who are interested:

Architecture. Rem Koolhaas, of the Office for Metropolitan Architecture, Rotterdam, will discuss his recent architectural work at 5.30 p.m. on 7 March in LR0 in the Department of Engineering.

Isaac Newton Institute. The Rothschild Visiting Professor, David Donoho, of Stanford University, will give a seminar at the Institute at 5 p.m. on 17 March, entitled More Unknowns than equations? Not a problem! Use Sparsity! Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. Professor David Rohrlich, of Boston University, will give the Seventy-Fifth Kuwait Foundation Lecture entitled Adelic representations of elliptic type, at 5 p.m. on 11 March, in the Wolfson Room, Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Wilberforce Road (entrance on Clarkson Road before the Isaac Newton Institute).
