FELLOW AND COLLEGE LECTURER IN LAW

Jesus College invites applications for a College Lectureship in Law. The post is for a fixed term of five years, from 1 October 2008, and carries with it a Fellowship at the College. The successful applicant will be expected to undertake up to twelve hours a week of small-group teaching (supervision) in Law and to play an active part in the organization of the subject, including helping with admissions.

Applicants should be able to provide supervisions in two or three of the courses within the Law Tripos, details of which may be found at http://www.law.cam.ac.uk/.

FELLOW AND COLLEGE LECTURER IN ENGLISH

Jesus College wishes to appoint a College Lecturer in English, with active research and teaching interests in any period before 1830. The post is for a fixed term of five years, from 1 October 2008, and carries with it a Fellowship at the College. The successful applicant will be expected to undertake up to twelve hours a week of small-group teaching (supervision) in English and to play an active part in the organization of the subject, including helping with admissions.


The stipend for both posts, which can be pensionable under the Universities Superannuation Scheme, is in the range of £25,135 to £30,912 a year.

It is expected that interviews will take place on 18 April (for the Lectureship in Law) and 24 April (for the Lectureship in English).
