University Lecturers

Appointments made at University Lecturer level will be for a probationary period of five years, with appointment to the retiring age thereafter. The pensionable scale of stipends for a University Lecturer is currently £33,779 to £42,791 a year, and for a University Senior Lecturer is currently £45,397 to £48,161 a year.

University Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Clinical Pathology in the Department of Veterinary Medicine

The Department of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a University Lectureship/Senior Lectureship in Veterinary Clinical Pathology. The Lecturer will play a significant role in the teaching of veterinary clinical pathology to undergraduates in the Department, and will provide a diagnostic veterinary clinical pathology service for the Queen's Veterinary School Hospital and associated clinics. He/she will participate in the training of clinical training scholars (Interns and Residents) in clinical pathology and will be expected to develop a research programme in an appropriate area of interest, independently or in collaboration with existing research groups within the Department or University.

This is a full-time appointment, available from 1 June 2008. Applicants should have experience in teaching and in diagnostic clinical pathology. A Ph.D. Degree in a relevant field and Membership of the European College of Clinical Pathology are desirable. Applicants should also have a veterinary degree registrable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. University Lecturer in Early Modern British History in the Faculty of History

The Faculty of History is seeking to make an appointment at University Lecturer level in the above field with effect from 1 October 2008.

Applications are sought from candidates with active and developing research interests within the economic, social, and cultural history of Britain between c.1450 and c.1750.
