STIPENDIARY LECTURESHIP IN GERMAN

The College seeks to appoint to the above post for two years with effect from 1 September 2008. The duties are the provision of up to seven hours' tuition a week in German to undergraduates studying Modern Languages. In addition the Lecturer will be responsible for the overall organization of tuition in German to these students. Applications are welcome from candidates able to teach translation, German grammar, first-year set texts, and a range of early modern or post-1730 literature. These literature papers include Early Modern German Culture (1450-1730): Texts, Contexts, and Issues (Paper VII); Modern German Literature, 1730 to the Present (Paper VIII); and Modern Prescribed Authors (Papers X and XI).

The stipend will be on the scale £13,418 to £15,102 a year. Senior Common Room dining rights will be offered.
