RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS (NON-STIPENDIARY)

Christ's College invites applications for two non-stipendiary Research Fellowships from 1 October 2008.

(i) a Sackler Fellowship, tenable for four years and which must be held concurrently with a postdoctoral appointment in the University of Cambridge working in the field of Engineering or Technology.

(ii) a Kaye Prize Research Fellowship, tenable for three years and which must be held concurrently with a postdoctoral appointment in the University of Cambridge working in the fields of cancer research, interpreted in its broadest sense, or oncology.

Preference may be given to candidates who are willing to undertake up to four hours teaching a week for the College. The appointments are intended to give the successful applicants the opportunity to participate in collegiate life, to the mutual benefit of the individual and the College, with the aim of enhancing the individual's prospects of appointment to an established academic position.

Fellows are entitled to seven free meals a week in College. Payment for any teaching undertaken will be at the normal College supervision rates.

Further particulars and application forms are available on the College website at http://www.christs.cam.ac.uk/info/fellowship/. Completed application forms should be e-mailed to the Research Fellowship Co-ordinator (jrf@christs.cam.ac.uk) so as to arrive no later than 5 p.m. on 22 February 2008. Applicants must indicate which named Fellowship they wish to be considered for. Applicants should also arrange for two referees' reports to be emailed to jrf@christs.cam.ac.uk by this date for the application to be valid.
