PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE PROVOST

The College wishes to appoint a full-time Personal Assistant to the Provost, the Head of the College. In addition to the normal range of responsibilities of a senior P.A., the post involves administering appointments to Research Fellowships and acting as Secretary to a number of committees, including, on occasion, the Governing Body itself. This is a challenging appointment, requiring the maintenance of good relations with current students and staff, alumni, and with senior figures in the wider University and in external organizations. Excellent secretarial and IT skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. Salary, according to experience, will be in the range £26,666-£32,796.

Further particulars and application details are available on the notice section of the College's website (http://www.worc.ox.ac.uk/) or from the Academic Registrar, Dr Jane Gover (tel. 01865 278342, e-mail jane.gover@worc.ox.ac.uk). The closing date for applications is 4 February 2008 and applicants should ask two referees with direct knowledge of their work to write directly to Dr Gover by the same date.
