ART TEACHER AND CO-ORDINATOR

King's College Art Centre is looking for an artist who is willing to teach regular classes during Full Term and to co-ordinate the overall activities of the Centre.

The main responsibilities of this position are to run eight hours of taught studios a week, preferably in blocks of four hours, during Full Term (Full Terms run for eight weeks October to December and January to March and four weeks April to May - making 20 weeks in all) and to co-ordinate the general work of the Art Centre. In addition, the post-holder will run other classes and workshops, which would be paid for separately by the participants, as well as organize several exhibitions annually.

In addition to being available to offer advice, the post-holder will provide a creative atmosphere and make the Centre a place where students and others feel welcome. Attendance at the Art Centre is variable; therefore the successful candidate must be prepared to be flexible in what he/she is prepared to offer.

Applications, comprising a curriculum vitae, including a brief statement as to why the candidate is interested in taking up this post and some examples of his/her recent work, including illustrations, should be sent to Joanne Preston, Personnel Manager, King's College, Cambridge, CB2 1ST (e-mail jp329@cam.ac.uk) by 25 January 2008.
