The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that she has accepted with gratitude the following benefactions:
| (i) | a bequest of approximately £250,000 under the Will of the late Professor Karen Ida Boalth Spärck-Jones (Mrs Roger Needham), of Wolfson College, Professor Emerita of Computers and Information. The bequest will be used to establish a fund, named the Spärck Needham Fund, to support the Fitzwilliam Museum, in particular the preservation and management of the digital assets of the Museum. |
| (ii) | an anonymous benefaction of £500,000 to be received over a period of five years to support Ukrainian Studies in the University. |
The Council is submitting Graces to the Regent House (Graces 2 and 3, p. 406) for the approval of regulations to govern these Funds.
