CORPUS-STANFORD PARKER-ON-THE-WEB PROJECT

Corpus Christi College is seeking to appoint to a full-time position on this international project. The aim of the project is to put digitized images of all the Parker Library manuscripts on the web, together with an advanced scholarly apparatus. Funding has been provided by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation. The appointment will be fixed term for twelve months from 1 January 2008, or commencing as soon as possible after that date. There is some possibility of an extension of the contract.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience of the use and handling of manuscripts, and a research degree in medieval or early modern studies. Computer literacy is essential. Duties will include the production of bibliographic records and reconciliation of catalogue information with manuscript images. The appointment will be made at an assistant level, and will be based in the Parker Library, Corpus Christi College. The salary is £21,046 a year.
