Examination in Innovation, Strategy, and Organization for the degree of Master of Philosophy, 2007-08: Notice

The Degree Committee for the Faculty of Business and Management give notice that in the academical year 2007-08 the subjects for examination in Innovation, Strategy, and Organization for the M.Phil. Degree will be as listed below. The method of examination is shown for each subject.

Group 1 (compulsory subjects)

MP0-1Quantitative research methods (assessed by twelve research exercises)
MP0-2 Qualitative research methods (assessed by 3,000-word essay)
MISO1 Information systems, innovation, and organizational change (assessed by 2,000-word essay, plus one-hour seminar presentation)
MISO2 Strategy and innovation (assessed by 3,000-word essay, plus 5,000-word group paper)
MISO3 Foundations of organizational analysis (assessed by 4,000-word essay)

Group 2 (optional papers)

MM3 Business economics (assessed by two-hour class test)
MM20 Environment and sustainability (assessed by 3,000-word essay, plus one-hour seminar presentation)
TPE5/4I3 Distribution networks (assessed by 4,000-word essay (80%), plus half-hour seminar presentation (20%))
TPE7 Political economy of technology policy (assessed by 3,000-word essay (80%), plus twenty-minute presentation (20%))
TPE10 Advanced technology policy (assessed by two 500-word essays (10%), plus 3,500-word essay (60%), plus one-hour seminar presentation (30%))
