ACTING ADMISSIONS TUTOR

The College seeks applications for the post of Acting Admissions Tutor, to take up the post for a fixed term from 19 November 2007 to 30 September 2008 during the absence of Dr Ute Stock.

The Acting Admissions Tutor will be answerable, via the Senior Tutor who acts as line manager, to the College Council and Governing Body. The Acting Admissions Tutor will be in overall charge of the College Admissions Office and will oversee the College's entire range of admissions activities including interviewing and recruiting applicants. S(he) will continue to develop sustained relationships with schools, run College Open Days and other events as well as informal visits to the College, and engage in a varied programme of school visits. S(he) will also maintain and develop widening participation initiatives to encourage applications to the College from well-qualified students from all backgrounds, particularly in the College's link areas of Birmingham and North London. The Acting Admissions Tutor will be supported in these tasks by a dedicated Admissions Co-ordinator.

The position is a half-time post but there is scope for negotiation on the precise hours and pattern of work. The remuneration package will be pensionable, in a range between £25,135 and £25,889 a year, pro rata for the hours worked and the duration of the contract.
