Hughes Hall

The College offers the following scholarships. These are awarded on merit. Special consideration will be given to applicants who on their application forms nominate Hughes Hall as their College of first preference. Students receiving fully-funded support (University and College fees and maintenance) are not eligible to apply for or hold these awards.

ELIZABETH CHERRY MAJOR SCHOLARSHIP

One scholarship, to the value of the College fee, to be awarded to applicants who registered initially for the M.Phil only, have performed with such distinction that they wish to study for the Ph.D. Special consideration will be given to students in arts subjects. The scholarship is renewable.

WILLIAM CHARNLEY LAW SCHOLARSHIPS

Two scholarships, each of £1,000 and tenable for one year, to be awarded to students studying for the LL.M. or Ph.D. in Law.

JOHNNY HON PEKING UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS

Two fully-funded scholarships for graduates of Peking University reading for one-year graduate courses in Arts or Science subjects.
