Vice-Chancellor's deputies appointed: Notice

The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that she hereby appoints the following persons in accordance with Statute D, III, 7(b), to act on her behalf until further notice in relation to the acceptance of benefactions, provided that no person appointed hereunder shall have power to accept from the same donor one or more benefactions which exceed £100,000 in total. (The power of the University to accept benefactions is delegated to the Vice-Chancellor, see Regulation 6 of the regulations for the Vice-Chancellor, Statutes and Ordinances, p. 648.)
 The Librarian
 The Director of the Botanic Garden
 The Director of the Scott Polar Research Institute
 The Chairmen of the various Faculty Boards
 The Heads of the Departments listed in Regulation 3 of the regulations for Departments and Heads of Departments (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 553)
 The Directors of other institutions independent of any Faculty or Department but under the supervision of the General Board

Acceptance of all benefactions is considered in relation to the ethical guidelines published by the Council (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 916). Submission of the appropriate Graces to regulate funds will be published in the Reporter together with announcements of the benefactions received.
