THE SHEILA EDMONDS LECTURESHIP IN MATHEMATICS (FIXED-TERM)

Applications are invited for a College Lectureship in Mathematics, to take effect from 1 October 2007, or as soon as possible thereafter. Newnham is seeking to appoint someone committed to the teaching of mathematics to undergraduates. The duties will include: teaching 180-240 hours a year in the fields of applied mathematics and theoretical physics, directing studies as required in mathematics, and carrying out research in any field of mathematics or theoretical physics. The appointment will be for five years and is fixed-term.

The salary will be in the range of £27,466 to £29,139 a year at a level equivalent to a single fixed point on the Cambridge University Scale of Stipends.
