Computer Science Tripos, Part IA

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 265)

With effect from 1 October 2008

The Faculty Board of Computer Science and Technology have approved changes to Part IA of the Tripos, including the approved combination of papers to be offered by candidates. The regulations have been amended as follows:

Regulation 4.

By amending the current wording so as to read:

4. The Faculty Board of Computer Science and Technology shall have power to issue from time to time supplementary regulations defining or limiting all or any of the papers for examination. Due care shall be taken that sufficient notice is given of any alteration of such supplementary regulations.

Regulation 10.

By amending the current wording so as to read:

10. A candidate for Part IA shall submit a portfolio of assessed laboratory work as prescribed in Regulation 11, and shall offer:
either (a) (i) Papers 1 and 2 of the Computer Science Tripos; and
    (ii) Papers 1 and 2 from Part IA of the Mathematical Tripos;
or (b) (i) Papers 1 and 2 of the Computer Science Tripos; and
    (ii) the examination requirements for the subject Mathematics, as set out in the regulations for Part IA of the Natural Sciences Tripos; and
    (iii) either Society, interaction, and the individual (Paper 4 of Part I of the Social and Political Sciences Tripos) or the examination requirements for one subject chosen from the list below and as set out in the regulations for Part IA of the Natural Sciences Tripos:
  Chemistry Physics
  Evolution and Behaviour Physiology of Organisms
  Geology  

SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

The supplementary regulations for the Tripos have been rescinded with effect from the same date.
