Music Tripos, Part II

With effect from 1 October 2007

The submission of an essay for Paper 7 (Test of performance) will no longer be required and the date of submission of the portfolio for Paper 5 (Analysis portfolio) has been changed to be the eleventh day of Full Easter Term rather than the fifteenth day of Full Easter Term in which the examination is held. The regulations have been amended as follows:

Regulation 16.

By amending sub-paragraph (d) so as to read:

(d) the examination for Paper 7 shall consist of a recital either on an instrument or of singing.

Regulation 18.

By amending the first sentence of the regulation so as to read:

A candidate who offers either Paper 1 or Paper 3 in Part IB, or Papers 3-6 in Part II, shall submit a portfolio to the Chairman of Examiners so as to arrive not later than the following dates: for Paper 3 in Part IB or Paper 4 in Part II, the fourth day of Full Easter Term in which the examination is held; for Paper 5 in Part II, the eleventh day of Full Easter Term in which the examination is held; for Paper 1 in Part IB or Papers 3 and 6 in Part II, the fifteenth day of Full Easter Term in which the examination is held.

Regulation 20.

By deleting this regulation, and renumbering Regulations 21-24 and cross-references accordingly.

Regulation 21.

By deleting in line 2 the words 'under Regulation 20 or'.

Paper 7. Test of performance

By amending the first sentence so as to read:

The examination for this paper will consist of a test of performance.

and by removing sub-paragraph (ii).
