STIPENDIARY LECTURESHIP IN CLASSICS

St Hugh's College proposes to appoint an eight-hour Stipendiary Lecturer in Classics, with effect from 1 October 2007 until 30 September 2008. This appointment is to fulfil teaching needs arising from a period of academic leave granted to a current post-holder, and is non-renewable.

The Lecturer will be expected to teach undergraduates (in tutorials and classes) eight hours each week averaged over the three terms (24 weeks) of the academical year. In addition, the Lecturer will be expected to play a full role in the running of Classics and its joint schools in the College, including arranging tuition, participating in the admissions process, setting and marking College examinations, and assisting with the pastoral care of undergraduates.

Further details are available at http://www.st-hughs.ox.ac.uk/Current_Vacancies/index.php. The closing date for applications is 30 May 2007.

St Hugh's College is an equal opportunities employer.
