DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND ALUMNI RELATIONS

The Cambridge Union Society, founded in 1815, is looking to appoint a Director of Development and Alumni Relations as part of a new campaign to secure the long-term endowment of the Society and its historic building. The Director will work closely with the Society's trustees and officers to initiate a development programme, build relations with alumni and other potential donors, co-ordinate relations between the Society and the University's Development Office, and assist the Trustees with developing the Society's long-term capital and financial planning. The Society is seeking an innovative, resourceful, and ambitious individual to fill this post for a minimum of two years.

No previous experience with development or fund-raising is necessary, but some track record of resourcefulness required. Additional training will also be provided. The position will be based in the Society's busy Bridge Street office. A competitive graduate starting salary will be offered. Interested applicants should submit a covering letter, current curriculum vitae, and details of two references to the Society's Board of Trustees at 9a Bridge Street, Cambridge, CB2 1UB, by the closing date of 1 May 2007. A short-list of candidates will be interviewed early in May.
