The new President of the Cambridge Society for the Application of Research (CSAR) is Professor Brian J. Ford. He takes over at the end of the period of office of Sir Sam Edwards, FRS. The CSAR holds fortnightly lecture meetings at Churchill College and members also visit leading centres of research. The Society's website is at http://www.csar.org.uk/.
