Announcement of lectures, seminars, etc.

The following lectures, seminars, etc. will be open to members of the University and others who are interested:

Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. The inaugural Andrew Chamblin Memorial Lecture, entitled Out of a Black Hole, will be given by Professor Stephen Hawking at 4.30 p.m. on 9 May, in the Lady Mitchell Hall, Sidgwick Avenue.

Archaeology. Cambridge Heritage Seminar. The Eighth Annual Cambridge Heritage Seminar will take place on 12 May at the Scott Polar Research Institute, and will focus on the visual rhetoric of states and societies emerging from post-conflict and post-crisis situations, and the ways in which cultural heritage is appropriated in this process. The keynote speaker will be Dr Yael Navaro-Yashin, of the Department of Social Anthropology. Divinity. Henry Martyn Centre. The Henry Martyn Easter Term Seminars 2007 will take place at Westminster College at 2.15 p.m. as follows:
