Celebrating Irish in Cambridge: Event

Ceiliúradh na Gaeilge i gCambridge

An event to mark the launch of the teaching of Modern Irish in Cambridge and a celebration of Irish teaching and research in the University, hosted by the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic, will take place in the Drama Studio, English Faculty Building, 9 West Road, on 2 May, at 5 p.m. The Irish Ambassador, Mr Daithí Ó Ceallaigh, will give an address, which will be followed by a poetry reading by Dr Louis de Paor, of University College Galway, introduced by Professor Angela Bourke, of University College Dublin, and Parnell Fellow, Magdalene College. A wine reception will follow.
