Graces submitted to the Regent House on 21 March 2007

The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, other than any which is withdrawn or for which a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 107), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 30 March 2007.

1. That an Alison Fairlie Prize in French be established in the University to be governed by the following regulations:1

Alison Fairlie Prize in French

1 The sums given to the University by a former student of Professor Alison Fairlie, formerly Professor of French and Fellow of Girton College, shall form a fund, the income of which shall be used to provide a prize in her memory called the Alison Fairlie Prize in French.

2. The Prize shall be awarded annually by the Examiners in French for Part IA of the Modern and Medieval Languages Tripos for an outstanding performance in the examination for that subject.

3. If in any year the Prize is not awarded, the income for that year shall be added to the capital of the Fund.

2. That the Annual Report of the Council for the academical year 2005-06 (Reporter, p. 255) be approved.2

3. That Deloitte & Touche LLP be reappointed, in accordance with Statute F, II, 5, to be the qualified accountants for the audit of the University's financial statements for the financial year 2006-07:3
