The Board of Electors to the William Wyse Professorship of Social Anthropology invite applications for this Professorship from persons whose work falls within the general field of Social Anthropology, to take up appointment on the retirement of the current holder, Professor Dame Marilyn Strathern, on 1 October 2008, or as soon as possible thereafter.
The appointment will be subject to the Statutes and Ordinances of the University.
