Christ's College

TODD-CROUCHER RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

The Governing Body of Christ's College invites applications for a non-stipendiary Research Fellowship, tenable from 1 October 2007. Applicants for this position, funded by the Croucher Foundation in memory of Lord Todd, should be both (a) Cambridge-based postdoctoral workers in the fields of Natural Science, Medicine, or Technology and (b) permanent residents of Hong Kong. It is intended to give such researchers the opportunity to participate in collegiate life, to the mutual benefit of the individual and the College, with the aim of enhancing the individual's prospects of appointment to an established academic position. The Fellowship is tenable for a period of four years and is not renewable. The holder must remain in the employment of the University as a postdoctoral research worker. Candidates should be willing to carry out a limited amount of teaching for the College (maximum three hours a week during Full Term) in an appropriate subject area, for which payment will be made at the normal College rates.

Application forms and further details are available on the College website at http://www.christs.cam.ac.uk/collegeinfo/researchfellowships/, and may also be requested from Mrs Sandra Nowottny, the Master's Assistant, Christ's College, Cambridge, CB2 3BU (e-mail scn23@cam.ac.uk). A completed application form together with a curriculum vitae and a statement of about 500 words describing the candidate's current and proposed research should be sent to the Master's Assistant so as to reach her not later than 5 p.m. on 18 April 2007. Candidates should arrange for two references to be sent independently to the Master's Assistant by the same date. Envelopes should be marked 'Todd-Croucher Fellowship'. Short-listed candidates may be invited for interview. Late applications cannot be accepted.
