IRISH SPRING

The Irish Spring event will be taking place at Clare Hall from 28 February to 5 March in association with the Irish Embassy. The week-long programme will include talks on Oscar Wilde in Prison, Beckett - tragicomic vision, and From Milesius to Niall of the nine hostages: genetic insights into Irish origins. The celebrations will also feature Irish music and dance as well as an exhibition of paintings by Irish artist, Jonathan O'Dea. The film of choice for the week is The Wind that Shakes the Barley by Ken Loach. The College is delighted to welcome the Irish Ambassador, His Excellency Daithi O'Ceallaigh, who will be giving a talk on Developments in the Anglo-Irish Relationship on 1 March at 6 p.m.
