The Raymond and Beverly Sackler Music Composition Prize is an international competition for composers sponsored by the University of Connecticut. The prize carries important rewards including performances and recording as well as a first prize of US$20,000. The 2007 prize will be for a composition of 30 to 60 minutes' duration for Chamber Opera. Further information and rules can be found on the website at http://www.sacklercompositionprize.uconn.edu/.
