Historical Tripos, Part II, 2008: Amendment

The Faculty Board of History give notice that they have amended their announcement of Special and Specified Subjects in respect of Special Subject O of Part II of the Historical Tripos, 2008, (Statutes and Ordinances, pp. 304-307, Reporter, 2005-06, pp. 724-725) as follows:

By amending the title of Papers 1O and 2O:
FromThe political economy of globalization, 1939-1974
toNo subject specified

Candidates for Part II in 2008, who have previously taken Part I of the Historical Tripos and who did not offer in that Part a paper falling mainly in the period before 1750, may meet the requirement to take a pre-1750 paper in Part II by offering one of the Special Subjects A, B, C, D, E, F, G, I, and J or by offering Paper 3 or one of the Papers 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, 18, 28, or a dissertation, provided that its subject falls mainly in the period before 1750.

Candidates for Part II in 2008, who have previously taken Part I of the Historical Tripos and who did not offer in that Part a paper falling mainly in the period after 1750, may meet the requirement to take a post-1750 paper in Part II by offering one of the Special Subjects H, K, L, M, and Q or by offering Papers 4 or 5 or one of the Papers 6, 7, 19, 20, 21,22 23, 25, 26, 29, or a dissertation, provided that its subject falls mainly in the period after 1750.

Candidates for Part II in 2008, who have previously taken Part I of the Historical Tripos and who did not offer in that Part a paper in European History, may meet the requirement to take a European History paper in Part II by offering one of the following papers: 12, 14, 18, 20, 22, 23.
