New College invites applications for a Career Development Fellowship in French (to be held as a Supernumerary Fellowship) for four years from 1 October 2007. The post-holder will be expected to engage in research, to offer six hours a week language and tutorial teaching for New College in any two centuries of early modern (16th to 18th century) literature, and to share in the administration of French in College. There is no possibility of renewal beyond the academical year 2010-11.
The appointment will be paid on a scale from point 1 (£28,234) to point 4 (£29,229). The successful candidate will also receive a research allowance of £650, a book allowance of £495, and an entertainment allowance of £160. The Fellow will be a member of Governing Body and of the Senior Common Room and entitled to full rights of commons during term and vacation.
