FIXED-TERM DARBY FELLOWSHIP IN APPLIED MATHEMATICS

Lincoln College invites applications from either men or women for a five-year fixed-term Darby Fellowship in Applied Mathematics with effect from 1 October 2007 to 30 September 2012. Applicants are normally expected to be at an early stage of an academic career, and are expected to have recently obtained or be about to obtain a doctorate in Mathematics, but should have some experience of teaching Mathematics at university level. Consideration will be given to teaching, research achievement, and potential.

The Fellow will be required to provide tutorial teaching for Moderations and Finals in Mathematics and related joint schools, as well as teaching for the Preliminary Examination in Physics. It is expected that the person appointed will pursue research in Applied Mathematics.

The salary offered currently ranges from £25,632 to £29,715 a year, plus Full Common Room rights, hospitality credit, access to the College Research and Equipment Funds, and membership of the USS pension scheme.
