Professor Bill Milne, of the Department of Engineering will deliver a lecture entitled Carbon nanotubes - the future for electronics?, at 8.30 p.m. on 12 February in the Cockcroft Lecture Theatre, New Museums Site. All who are interested are invited.
At a meeting held on 29 January in the Cockcroft Lecture Theatre, New Museums Site, Professor T. J. Pedley, President, was in the Chair.
Professor John Hinch, FRS, of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, delivered the G. I. Taylor Lecture entitled Explaining the flow of elastic liquids. A vote of thanks was also moved by Professor T. J. Pedley.
