Dr Tom Nutt, of Magdalene College, will give a short talk on Bastardy and the poor law in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century England, and Ms Natalia Mora-Sitja, of Downing College, will give a short talk on Labour markets, industrialization, and inequality: Catalonia in the nineteenth century, at a meeting of the Historical Society at 5 p.m. on 13 February, in the Maitland Room, E staircase, Downing College. Prospective members are welcome, and drinks will be served after the meeting.
