Kettle's Yard: Events

Music

Free Friday lunchtime concerts. Free concerts performed by students of the University take place every Friday lunchtime in term time, beginning on 19 January, at 1.10 p.m. Concerts take place in Kettle's Yard House and last about 40 minutes.

Thursday Evening Subscription Concerts. The Gaudier Ensemble will perform Debussy, Stravinsky, and Beethoven at 8 p.m. on 25 January, in the first of the Lent Term subscription concerts. Full programme details are available at http://www.kettlesyard.co.uk/music/subs.html. A term's subscription costs £35 (students £10), allowing entrance to five concerts. This includes the Gaudier Ensemble performing Schubert's Octet and Stravinsky's 'The Soldier's Tale' at West Road on 22 February. Subscriptions are available from Kettle's Yard.

2007 New Music Series. The first Sunday Coffee Concert in the 2007 New Music Series, entitled 'Etching Sound Forms: a portrait of Christopher Fox', will be performed by Apartment House on 28 January at midday (coffee will be served in the gallery from 11.30 a.m.). Exhibition

An exhibition entitled ''WE the moderns': Gaudier-Brzeska and the birth of modern sculpture', including Brancusi, Matisse, Modigliani, Picasso, Rodin, Archipenko, and others, will be on display at Kettle's Yard from 20 January until 18 March.
