READERSHIP IN WORLD LITERATURES IN ENGLISH

The University, in association with Wolfson College, proposes to appoint a University Reader in World Literatures in English from 1 September 2007 or as soon as possible thereafter. This is a senior post, and the post-holder is required to provide leadership in their field, to give 36 lectures a year or equivalent for the English Faculty (see further particulars for details), and to undertake examining and graduate supervision. The successful candidate will have a distinguished record of scholarship and research in World Literatures in English, and will be able to teach, supervise, and examine undergraduate and graduate students, and to contribute to administration in the Faculty. The University salary will be on the grade A10 Reader scale up to £50,787, and the successful candidate will be offered a non-tutorial Fellowship at Wolfson College.
