STIPENDIARY JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS 2007

(i) Russian or other Slavonic Literatures

(ii) Social Science and the East European member states of the EU

Wolfson is a postgraduate College and proposes to elect one stipendiary JRF in each of the above subjects, for three years, from 1 October 2007, at an annual stipend of £14,067 (current), together with single accommodation (or an allowance in lieu) and Common Table meals. Candidates should have relevant postgraduate experience by the start of the Fellowship and preference will be given to those holding a doctorate. The successful candidate may be offered an opportunity to become involved in the activities of the European Language-Based Area Studies Centre, which is being sponsored by HEFCE, the ESRC, and the AHRC.

NON-STIPENDIARY JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS 2007 IN HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL STUDIES

The College also proposes to elect up to ten non-stipendiary JRFs in Humanities and Social Studies, without limitation of subject, for two years in the first instance, from 1 October 2007. These Fellowships carry Common Table rights and are renewable for a further term of two years subject to certain conditions. Candidates should have relevant postgraduate experience by the start of the Fellowship and preference will be given to those holding a doctorate.

WOLFSON/AEA TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRIAL FELLOWSHIPS 2007-09

Wolfson College proposes to elect two non-stipendiary Wolfson/AEA Technology Industrial Fellowships for two years from 1 October 2007. These Fellowships are intended to enable those working at AEA Technology or in industry to come to Oxford to engage in a joint research project with a University department, with which the candidate must have made satisfactory arrangements. Fellows will normally be expected to spend one-fifth of their time in Oxford. The College will offer up to £1,000 a year towards any expense reasonably incurred in pursuance of the aims of the Fellowship.
