St Peter's College

DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

The College wishes to appoint a Development Officer with strong communication and organizational skills, with an ambition to start or further a career in the University development sector. The appointment will support the work of the Development Office and the main responsibilities are to manage the College's Annual Fund programme, administer gifts to the College, maintain and enhance the alumni database, and assist with alumni events. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, IT literate, and ideally educated to degree standard. Previous marketing or similar experience is desirable but not essential. Starting salary will be on the scale £22,774 to £27,193, with six weeks' holiday, free lunches, and optional pension and healthcare schemes.

BODOSSAKI GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP IN SCIENCE

Applications are invited for a Graduate Scholarship established by the Bodossaki Foundation in any field of Science, including Mathematics, Engineering, and Medicine (preference will be given to Immunology, Oncology, and Cardiovascular Diseases). Applicants should be Greek citizens under the age of 30 (35 for candidates in Medicine). They should normally have obtained a first class degree from a British university or an equivalent Greek or other overseas qualification. The Scholarship is tenable for a period of not more than three years from 1 October 2007. The successful applicant will be required to read for a higher degree of the University of Oxford.

The emoluments, totalling up to £12,500 a year, cover University and College fees and a grant for maintenance. Awards will be made primarily on the basis of academic merit. Financial need is also an important factor of consideration for the award.
