Rosalie Canney Lectureship in Psychology and Medicine

Applications are invited for a University Lectureship in the Department of Experimental Psychology, with duties in the Department of Psychiatry, to take up appointment as soon as possible. The appointment will be made in the area of abnormal psychology as it relates to biological psychiatry including human cognitive neuroscience.

The person appointed would be expected to contribute to the undergraduate teaching programme and to participate in the teaching and supervision of graduate students.

Appointments made at University Lecturer level will be for a probationary period of five years, with appointment to the retiring age thereafter. The pensionable scale of stipends for a University Lecturer is currently £32,471 to £41,133 a year and, from 1 August 2007, will be £33,779 to £42,791 a year.

Clinical Lecturer/Specialist Registrar in Public Health

Applications are invited from candidates for the post of Clinical Lecturer/Specialist Registrar in Public Health, to take up appointment as soon as possible and by 31 March 2007. Applicants should have had suitable experience and training and be of the standing required for an honorary contract of service with the NHS Executive Eastern Region as a Specialist Registrar. The successful candidate will be required to undertake teaching and clinical duties and also to carry out research. The appointment will be for four years with the possibility of reappointment for a further two years. The salary will be in the range of £28,930 to £50,219 a year.

Administrative Officer in the Academic Division (assigned to the School of the Biological Sciences)

The post-holder will work with members of the School Office in supporting the School's procedures for the successful running of the Graduate School and the Faculty's Degree, Appointments, and Promotions Committees, as well as processing and maintaining comprehensive records of examination marks for the Medical and Veterinary Sciences Tripos.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and have relevant administrative experience, preferably in higher education. He/she will have excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and to work to tight deadlines. Good communication skills, IT skills, and the ability to undertake statistical analysis are essential. The salary will be in the range of £24,161 to £31,525 a year.
