St Hugh's College

TUTORIAL FELLOWSHIP AND UNIVERSITY LECTURERSHIP (CUF) IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

St Hugh's College and the Faculty of English propose to make a joint appointment in English from 1 October 2007. The post-holder will be a Tutorial Fellow of St Hugh's College and a University Lecturer (CUF) in the Faculty of English Language and Literature. This post is open to scholars with an outstanding record of research and publication who can offer a range of teaching within English Literature in the period 1509-1832. Preference may be given to candidates with research interests in the period 1640-1730.

The College and University salaries in aggregate will be on a scale from £44,157 to £57,104 a year, including an allowance for housing costs. An equity-sharing housing scheme and other College allowances are available. THE POWYS ROBERTS RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN EUROPEAN LITERATURE

Applications are invited for the Powys Roberts Research Fellowship in European Literature at St Hugh's College, tenable from 1 October 2007. This is a fixed-term three-year position intended for an individual who has recently completed a doctorate and wishes to embark on an academic career. It is open to those working in the fields of French, German, or Italian Literature in any period. The post-holder will contribute to the teaching of Modern Languages, both in St Hugh's College and in the Faculty of Medieval and Modern European Languages and Literatures.

The basic stipend of the Fellow will be £19,119 a year, with additional benefits.
