The Council of St John's College invite applications from those holding a Ph.D. Degree or equivalent qualification and experience, for the post of Meres Research Associate in Medical Research. A medical qualification is not essential. The post is intended for post-doctoral research workers of exceptional promise early in their careers.
The tenure of the Research Associateship, which should begin between 1 October 2007 and 1 January 2008, will be for up to four years, renewable for a further period not exceeding one year. The annual pensionable emolument will be in the range of £32,471 to £41,133. Research expenses of up to £12,500 a year may also be claimed.
