The Faculty Board of Modern and Medieval Languages give notice that, with effect from the examinations to be held in 2007, the form of the examination for the following paper for the Linguistics Tripos will be changed as follows:
Paper 1. Linguistic theory
This paper will no longer require candidates to answer three questions, but only one question in a three-hour written examination. The questions set will be of a general nature, and each will invite reference to a range of perspectives within linguistics.
