Election, appointments, reappointments, and grants of title

The following election, appointments, reappointments, and grants of title have been made:

Election

Professor Judith Margaret Lieu, B.A., M.A., Durham, Ph.D., Birmingham, Professor of New Testament Studies, King's College London, elected Lady Margaret's Professor of Divinity with effect from 1 October 2007.

Continuing Education. Dr Gillian Clare Carr, M.Phil., Ph.D., CTH, B.Sc., Bradford, appointed from 1 October 2006 until the retiring age.

Head of Department

Chemistry. Dr William Jones, SID, appointed from 1 January 2007 for five years.

Deputy Head of Department

Chemical Engineering. Dr David Ian Wilson, JE, appointed from 1 October 2006 for three years.

Criminology. Dr Manuel Peter Eisner reappointed from 1 October 2006 for three years.

Grants of title

Affiliated Lecturers

Clinical Medicine. Dr Joanne Lesley Whittaker has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2006 for a further two years. Dr David Mark Baguley, W, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 November 2006 for two years. Dr Arthur George Hibble and Dr Anthony George William Norden have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 November 2006 for a further two years.
