Applications are invited for the 10th Anniversary Yakult Travel Awards from postgraduates and established scientists and health professionals whose research is aimed at understanding the role of intestinal microbiota in health and disease prevention, specifically in the area of probiotics. Applications are invited from individuals working in the field of microbiology, gastroenterology, food safety, nutrition, and food science in the UK and Ireland.
Awards will be offered to researchers for attendance at a national or international symposium where their work has been accepted for presentation. A multidisciplinary panel will judge applications and the results will be announced in March 2007.
