Clare Hall

ITALIAN CELEBRATIONS

Continuing with its 40th Anniversary events organized to reflect the diverse and international nature of the College, Clare Hall will be hosting a week of Italian Celebrations from 16 to 22 November 2006. The celebrations will feature a photographic exhibition published by Damiani Editore, entitled Spaghetti and stars and Caffe and stars, an evening of Italian arias performed by Duo Leda, as well as talks on topics ranging from cell biology to the Etruscans. The College is pleased to host the Italian Ambassador, His Excellency Giancarlo Aragona, who will be giving a lecture on Italian diplomacy and trans-Atlantic relations as part of the celebrations. A further highlight will be the Clare Hall screening of Giacomo Campiotti's new film Mai più come prima - never again as before, on 19 November, which will be premiering in London during the Italian Film Festival on 8 November.

The Italian Celebrations are being presented in association with the Italian Embassy, the Italian Cultural Institute, and the Italian Film Festival in London. For further information, visit the Clare Hall website at http://www.clarehall.cam.ac.uk/, or telephone 01223 332368.
