Annual Meetings of the Faculties

Earth Sciences and Geography

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Earth Sciences and Geography gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on 14 November 2006, in the Seminar Room, Department of Geography, Downing Place. The business will be the election, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2, of three members of the Board in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2007 and the election of one member in class (a) to serve for four years from 1 January 2007.

Nominations for the election and notice of any other business should reach the Secretary of the Faculty Board (e-mail secretary@esg.cam.ac.uk) not later than 7 November.

Economics

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Economics gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, 20 November 2006, in the Meade Room, Austin Robinson Building, Sidgwick Avenue. The agenda for the meeting will be circulated to each member of the Faculty. One of the items of business will be to elect, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), three members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2007, and one member of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve for one year from 1 January 2007.

Nominations in writing, signed by the proposer, together with an indication of the nominee's willingness to serve, should reach the Secretary, Marie Butcher, Faculty of Economics, Austin Robinson Building, Sidgwick Avenue, by 5 p.m. on Thursday, 16 November. It would be convenient if notice of any other business that members wish to be discussed were sent in writing to the Secretary by 10 a.m. on Monday, 13 November.

English

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of English gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, 16 November 2006, in the Faculty of English, 9 West Road. The main business will be to elect, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), three members of the Faculty Board to serve for four years in class (c), from 1 January 2007.

Nominations for election, and notice of any other business, should reach the Secretary of the Faculty Board, Mrs Tamsin James (e-mail tj210@cam.ac.uk), Faculty of English, 9 West Road, by noon on Wednesday, 8 November, at the latest.

Modern and Medieval Languages

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Modern and Medieval Languages gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 3.15 p.m. on Monday, 20 November 2006, in the Little Hall, Sidgwick Avenue. The main business will be to elect five members of the Faculty Board in class (c), in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), two to serve for four years, two to serve for two years, and one to serve for one year, with effect from 1 January 2007.

Nominations for the election and notice of any other business should reach the Secretary of the Faculty Board, Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages, Sidgwick Avenue, not later than Friday, 10 November.

Physics and Chemistry

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Physics and Chemistry gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Friday, 10 November 2006, in the Committee Room, Institute of Astronomy, Madingley Road. The main business will be the election of three members of the Faculty Board in class (c), in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c).

Nominations, signed by the proposer and seconder, for which the consent of the candidate must be obtained, should reach the Secretary at the Institute of Astronomy not later than Monday, 6 November. Notice of any other business should reach the Secretary by the same date.
