THE PHYLLIS AND EILEEN GIBBS TRAVELLING RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP 2007-08

This Travelling Fellowship has been endowed with the object of assisting women graduates who have considerable experience of research (normally beyond the doctoral level) and who intend to undertake field-work projects outside the British Isles (and normally not within their own countries of residence) in Biology, Archaeology, Social Anthropology, or Sociology, with preference for Archaeology or Biology. The Travelling Fellowship is open to women who are or have been members of any College or Approved Foundation or Approved Society in, or University officers in, the University of Cambridge, but preference will be given to present or former members of Newnham College. The Travelling Fellowship will be available for all or part of the year 2007-08 and the fund will pay research, travel, and subsistence expenses normally up to £16,000 for the year; these conditions may be modified according to the nature of the project. Further information can be obtained from the College website at http://www.newn.cam.ac.uk/, or from the Principal's Secretary, Newnham College, Cambridge, CB3 9DF, and applications should be sent to her by 5 January 2007.
