University Lecturers

Appointments made at University Lecturer level will be for a probationary period of five years, with appointment to the retiring age thereafter. The pensionable scale of stipends for a University Lecturer is currently £32,471 to £41,133 a year.

Two University Lectureships in Earth Sciences

The Department of Earth Sciences invites applications for two new University Lectureships in Earth Sciences.

Applications are invited from those whose research bears on any aspect of the following areas of the Earth Sciences: sedimentology, geodynamics-geophysics-tectonics, palaeobiology, or volcanology-petrology. The Department has a strong tradition of broad based interactive teaching and research across these and other disciplines, including field-work teaching, in which the applicant will be expected to take part.
